This album collects five new tracks recorded by Grimwald during the late months of 2022.
Lyrically this album explores epic themes linked to the Medieval Death imaginary, ancient legends, and heroes of old. The band's sound aims to be raw black metal, whilst epic soundscapes and vocals are merged within the mix.
The album's title "Fatherland" takes inspiration from our native land, and its latin translation is "Patria". We have chosen to use this world in opposition to "Motherland", a word that referred to a person's parents place of birth rather than the person's native country. This choice is linked to personal reasons and is not politically driven.
We share in this page a sampler taken from the album's five tracks, in the hope that what you'll be listening to might have you to support us by buying a physical copy of this work.
